Abigail Spencer, who played the role of Don Draper’s mistress briefly on Mad Men, wrote a romantic comedy where she will also star. She also hopes that James Franco will get on board this project to act as the producer.
The movie has the following actors joining her — Andrew Leeds, Matt Gould, Griffin Matthews, Camille Chen and Eric Roberts.
The story focuses on two people who has a chance meeting because of the wrong phone call. The lead character is a wife, who recently lost her father, while the stranger she pursues opens up an unlikely friendship with her and brings up some gray areas between the friendship shared by people of different sex.
According to reports, Abigail Spencer has been working on Wrong Number for three years, and has met James Franco while shooting for the Oz remake, where both of them are also part of. She related her story to Franco, who was said to be encouraged to produce it.
In fact, Franco has earlier related to the press that he is planning on making a small-budget movie, along with the students of NYU and mentioned this romantic comedy.
Spencer’s writing career started off early before she got to acting and has worked on one developing a pilot for ABC network.
