The Black Faced part is some of the most racist crap I’ve ever seen.
Duh. Think about it in context. Think about the time. That’s like calling Betty’s drinking “irresponsible.” Of course it is. But it’s fiction. And even if stuff like this did happen, and it probably did, it was almost half a century ago.
We know better now. Get over it.
Let’s see, We don’t tell Jewish folks to “Just get over it” when anti-semetic images are portrayed in fiction in order to tell a story.
Yes it happened. Yes it was in the episode.. Yes it was racist crap.
Should we get over it… NO. It’s important to show the truth of the era and also to recognize how messed up it was and to remember it so that we can learn and grow from it.
Thats why the show is so darn good. It shows us where we came from so that we will never go there again.
Everyone’s drinking and smoking and letting kids run around with plastic bags over their heads is really weird to see.
I think you should get over your own rudeness and show some human kindness to others.
